Apparently Marc S. Barnes name was found among the other US citizen who applied for bankrupcy chapter 11 back in October as many were trying to find out why the biggest club of Washington DC was closed.
Marc Barnes did not only closed his first establishment; but all of them at the same time. Anyway, The four-story Night club Love night club, formerly Dream has been open since 2001. But it is just recently back in December 2009 that is reputation took a great hit with a series of non-fatal stabbing inside the club on New Year’s Day 2009-2010. It was the third violent incident to occur at the club over the span of a week. After that In March, Barnes re-opened the joint, but only for special events.
Love, operating as Okie Dokie was scheduled to appear before the Alcoholic Beverage and Control Board(ABC) back in October 2010. Marc Barnes transfered his liquor license to Love Des, LLC, owned by Dean Smothers of The Scene, at 2221 Adams Place in Northeast. back on October 2010. Smothers plans on keeping the original trade name, Love. We hope it all work out for the best with him.
